While I was waiting for my friends to finish their laboratory work, I sat downopened a blank page in my notebook and started asking myself why there is a need to ask.
For me, asking is to: Prove ones knowledge over a specific topic
Know and understand new things
Clarify points that is misunderstood
Seek for the truth or the answer
Reflect onto ones action
Exercise the mind
Puzzle the one being asked
Start a conversation
Show interest towards something
Affirm ones point of view
Show disbelief
Have make fun of other people
Signify need for help
Relieve stress
Think of questions
Acknowledge something
Informing others by making them aware
Spend time in a productive manner
I conclude that asking is essential to the growth of a person. It contributes to the development whether its emotional, mental, physical and spiritual aspect. In a sense that if they don't get an answer at all and or if the got answer that will change their perspective about things in either good or bad. It also allows a person to know more about him/her self.
In philosophy there need to constantly ask about things to understand everything. Some questions lead to quite depressing results but can be converted into something positive. Also through asking, there rise perspectival(biased, based on perspective and interpretation) answers that proves that everything is an interpretation. Asking is the key to start the quest to find knowledge. And only through this knowledge people will understand how to live their life, what purpose and goals to achieve.
If a person stops asking, the person stops receiving. In this process stagnation of the brain occurs and development will not take place. Answers are just there to make or break a person upon how it is perceived. To interpret something in the right and positive way is the only way to progress in life that's why there is a need to ask.
Rohan offers a wide range of character classes plus races to choose from and each with its own style of play which suits the player’s attitude.
Now to get more specific let’s focus on the elves. Elven race utilizes light magic to heal, buff, de-buff and even damage enemies. There are two sub-classes to this race namely the Priest and the Templar. The Templar is the more offensive build and the Priest is focused on healing, buffing and more of defensive play.
But why choose being a Priest?
In the PH Rohan Message Board I saw these reasons:
-LordCeleby
To justify, priests are not lazy people. You can often see them standing because they are watching your health bar. They cannot attack that much because they are also squishy without buffs and their damage is way lower than any one in their party. They also avoid being mobbed because if the Priest dies, almost the whole party dies. And also how could a priest heal another party member if he’s busy healing himself?
It is not just priests like to support people. It is because they find their calling being a priest, they are happy with what they do, and found their playing skills more useful as a support type.
Being a priest doesn’t mean one have to hate PK (Player Kill). Other priests love PK because they are the key to success. The priest’s de-buffs and other disabling skills give them make fun out of their targets while their party mates kill the prey.
To buff for free is one of the best thing a priest does. They have a freakin’ huge mana pool, and high mana recovery rate + buff to spare buffs for people who needs it. Don’t be stingy as a priest. To buff another person is to help them level up in Rohan and to see them someday as a high level player makes you feel good. You can say that once you have been a part of their achievement.
Helping newbies is good to give a nice environment to Rohan. Some high level players often mislead noobs and make fun of them. Just keep yourself humble and let them experience the fun of levelling up with you. Share happiness so that more people will enjoy Rohan and you’ll see yourself having a big circle of friends.
Having a peaceful grinding experience means being away from the usual grinding spots and away from PK. It also means that the party must venture a different area wherein they need a priest to succeed.
A priest’s behavior in chat depends on the priest’s playing skill. Not all people can chat while playing. It also depends on the situation whether more concentration is needed. Priests must be the source of optimism and be the party’s cheerleader. This adds more fun in everyone’s playing experience. Having fast fingers is a must in crucial situations. Even if you don’t have fast fingers, it doesn’t mean you cannot be a priest. There is plenty of room to improve.
To sum it all up, being a priest requires more Patience, Devotion and Playing Skills. Lots of Patience is needed because priests almost cannot level on their own. Devotion because you must keep being a support type until you reach 99 or 100+ and that is not an easy task. Playing skills are needed to press the proper keys to heal your party mates and to know when, where and to whom you must use the skill. Knowing this by heart is useful in the path to success. Attitude problems are not welcomed for being a priest.
Stat Build: Stats: 3 psyche, 1 vitality (up to lv. 50)
To have great healing skills + maximize your magic barrier improves overall survivability of the party without sacrificing vitality. If you put intelligence, it almost won’t contribute to your healing, and you are better off as a templar. We only need to focus on healing and magic barrier. I didn't include lv. 50-99, its up to you how you distribute your stats.
How to Build Skills properly
Things to Consider:
- Your own survivability
- Priority Skills
Healer Skill Build (to what level of skill to upgrade as a Healer)
Lv. 1 Recovery (since you have potions for HP, you need mana for Divine Beam)
Lv. 1 Divine Aura
Lv. 1 Divine Beam (To help you level up inside the Hall of Revelation)
Lv. 4 Heal
Lv. 5 Recovery (You are @ level 13 when you achieve this)
Lv. 3 Group Heal (You are going to level with a party)
Lv. 5 Magic Barrier (To help Wizards, Archers, and other characters with low hp)
Lv. 1 Net Bind
Lv. 3 Revive (You are @ level 24 when you achieve this)
Lv. 5 Intelligence Blow
Lv. 1 Cure Silence (Anti PK and you are @ level 24 when you achieve this)
Lv. 1 Reveal Hidden
Lv. 1 Chrono (You are @ level 36 when you achieve this)
*Now you have 16 skill points to carry over to the Priest Skill Tree.
Final Skill Build w/o Skill Stones
*I have teleport and root.
Root to kill people below Lv. 49 but later in the game. Combo with Marea's Battle Teleport: For escape specially at TSB and PK.
But changes are to follow once RohanPh starts open beta.
That ends my guide. Feel free to experiment on you build. You are not forced to believe everything here. Good luck playing as a Priest!!!
